All about: FaceWorks new Day Crème with 7% Vitamin B3

Dr. Teresa Cattin - who I’d heard about for years before meeting her, and always in rather glowing terms – is in my opinion New Zealand’s best cosmetic physician, and a top-notch woman to boot. A Medical Practitioner (MSc, MBBCh, FRNZCGP, FNZCAM) and past-President of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine, she is also director of FaceWorks Appearance Medicine Clinic in Albany, Auckland, and creator of the FaceWorks skincare brand. Needless to say, she is a clearly a woman who knows who stuff when it comes to skin, and what’s best for it.

I have loved trying her formulations over the years as the FaceWorks skincare range has grown, and the latest to get me very excited in the new FaceWorks Day Crème with 7% Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). An intense, but delightfully non greasy daily moisturising crème, it contains high strength Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) - a powerhouse ingredient suitable for all skin types and ages.

FaceWorks is an “active” skincare range, meaning it is designed to actually effect real change on the skin physiologically, not just feel or smell nice in elaborate packaging. With this in mind, the new release is not only extremely adept at keeping your skin hydrated and healthy all day long, but the high concentration of niacinamide means it’s also an “active” skin treatment, actively rejuvenating your skin as the hours tick by.
The benefits of Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) are numerous, but include the likes of reducing fine lines by increasing collagen and elastin production, calming sensitive skin and reducing redness and protecting and repairing UV induced DNA damage. After more than a few weeks of use I have been super impressed that new day crème hasn’t aggravated my sensitivity or on/off rosacea at all, and its hydrating properties were definitely tested over the recent cold snap and came through with flying colours. The formula also contains Vitamin E and Rosehip Oil to further refine and repair skin, and is ideal for daily use under FaceWorks much loved Primer SPF30 or Environmental Protector SPF30.
At $60 it is also very affordable given its high performance qualities and impressive actives, and as the creation of Dr. Cattin, you just know it does what it says on the jar. If this sounds like what’s missing in your daily regime then I highly recommend that you give it a whirl – it’s available right now from the FaceWorks clinic and online.
