Beauty news: L’Oréal Paris announces another coup

Hot on the heels of the announcement that they had signed up the heavenly body that is Lara Stone as an ambassador, L’Oréal Paris  have just confirmed that actor Blake Lively has joined its incredibly photogenic family of inspirational beauties.
Cyril Chapuy, Brand Global President of L’Oréal Paris, said of the 26-year old glamour girl “Blake embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour. She is flashing a substantial swath of upper elegance and sensuality. She has become a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop-dead smile. Today, this strong, charismatic and definitely glowing actress is joining the L’Oréal Paris family. And we’re so proud to welcome her,”
That is no faint praise, so big congrats to Blake all round!
Considered a truly modern ‘muse’, Karl Lagerfeld handpicked her as the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle Bag, and she is currently the Ambassador for Gucci’s Premiere fragrance.

Love it: Bobbi Brown's killer Smokey Eye Mascara

“This season’s smokey eyes is all about mega lashes and richly-pigmented liner…”
Bobbi Brown
I was recently asked by a magazine to name the one beauty product that I’ve been given lately that I have instantly fallen for - hard - and didn’t hesitate before naming Bobbi Brown’s Smokey Eye Mascara. It gives you thicker, fuller, bolder lashes in a single super-saturated stroke, and is as kind as it gets on sensitive, contact lens-sporting peepers like mine. It is super quick to apply - a bonus for crazy busy women like me - and just one coats gives you major colour payoff, mainly due to the fact that the kohl-pigmented mascara delivers high drama thanks to its ability to build volume lash by lash. It has a thicker brush base that evenly combs through eyelashes from roots to ends, while a tapered tip grabs those small, hard-to-reach lashes. The result is dramatically dark, doll-like lashes in - quite literally - the blink of an eye, and it lasts and lasts. I’ve been popping it on around 8am and still loving it by 8pm, when if I’m going out just one more coat is needed. Magic!
It’s available right now in stores so I recommend you check it out - you’ll fall in love as much as I did, I swear!

Beauty news: D&M Hair design to Cut for a Cure this coming Monday

On Monday 4 November, Ponsonby salon D&M is going to Cut for a Cure - hardworking New Zealand charity Cure Kids, that is.
They will be open from 11:00am to 5:00pm, taking bookings for cuts, colours and blow waves, with an amazing 100 per cent of the income from the day going directly to Cure Kids. The D&M team have said that they would love old and new clients to book in and take part in this special day, which would usually be one of the salon’s days off.
The move was prompted by a call to action by industry supplier Boutique Brands, which has made worthy New Zealand charity Cure Kids its philanthropic partner. Salons throughout the country are getting involved with Cut for a Cure to see who can raise the biggest donation for the Cure Kids, an organisation which is working every single day to find cures for the life-threatening illnesses that affect Kiwi kids. Their focus is on raising funds “so that vital medical research can continue till our researchers find the cures our kids need. Put simply: we fund the cures, they find the cures,” a mission statement that we all can understand.
“We could have taken the option of having a donation box on our reception desk,” salon co-owner Danny Pato said, “but we decided to go that little bit further when we looked into what an amazing difference the Cure Kids charity makes to the lives of all those who come into contact with it.”
To book in for a cut, colour or blow wave on Monday, November 4 call D&M on (09) 376 3666 or go to www.dandm.co.nz to book online. Go on, you know you want to!

Beauty news: meet Apotheka - and new BECCA

One of the first seriously beauty-dedicated retailers to open in New Zealand was Glamorpuss, where I spent many a pretty penny exploring their beautiful wares alongside many other freaks like me. When they moved from Nuffield Street in Newmarket to the far-more-buzzing Osborne Street precinct they upped their game with some fabulous new brands, and also decided to change their name - to APOTHEKA (apothekaboutique.co.nz). Owner Marianne Welch says that the name was “inspired by the idea of a modern apothecary that is home to an edited collection of our favourite skin care and cosmetics brands,” and that they only stock products that the team have personally trialled and use themselves.

Since Glamorpuss opened its door they have always looked for products that are innovative and unique, and have been leaning more and more towards products that are natural and organic. Their current lineup of brands includes A Beautiful Life, BECCA, Blinc, Duwop, Greenland, Duwop Beauty, Japonesque, Mario Badescu, Pai Skincare, Rosebud, Tweezerman, The Brow Gal, and Swisstools, and they still only stock products that never test on animals.
They do beautiful makeovers at Apotheka, including those using the BECCA brand, who create some of my favourite products. A new one I have been using is the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed, which is a sequel to the brand’s cult favourite liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector but in the form of a creamy powder luminizer in a compact.
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed says that it “absorbs and reflects light for a superb natural glow”, and it most definitely has the radiant factor down pat. The texture is a dream: soft, smooth, incredibly finely milled and oh so silky against the skin. It also has excellent colour payoff, and to get the most natural, barely-there glow, I highly recommend using a light hand with a fluffy or fan brush. I recently took the Opal shade with me to Sydney for a long weekend and was seriously impressed - it wore well for around eight and a half hours before starting to fade.
All I can say is… if only I could wake up with this on every day!

Love it: Dr. Libby Weaver’s Beauty From The Inside Out

This blog is not so much about a product that will change your life - although we all know that M.A.C’s Ruby Woo does have extraordinary powers! - but a book that aims to change the way you see yourself: Dr. Libby Weaver’s Beauty From The Inside Out.
When I spoke to Dr. Libby just days before the book hit the stands she told me that one of its key purposes to “remind you of what your heart already knows,” as well as look at every little thing we do that can have an impact on how we look and feel in a beauty sense.
“Beauty really is an inside job,” she says, “how many of us stop to consider that our outer layer is merely a reflection of inner processes, completely reliant on the health of the 50 trillion cells that you are made of? And the health of those cells is affected by everything from the food you eat, the nutrients present or missing from your blood, and the hormones and messages your body makes based on whether your thoughts are fearful or loving.”
When most people think about improving their appearance, they usually focus on a product, another "quick fix", the pricey new moisturiser everyone tells you that you need RIGHT NOW. Yet when you consider the skin cells on your face are a small percentage of the total number of cells in the whole body, it seems crazy that we don't spend more time getting most of the cells functioning optimally, leading us to the outcomes we seek.
It is not a book teaching you how to cleanse, tone and moisturise, but rather how to make your own beauty shine and how to deal with very specific bumps in the road, such as dark circles under the eyes, eczema, pimples, and hair that is falling out, just to name a few. Just as importantly, “I explore your inner world, by taking a look at the emotional landscape because, for many, that is where the real elixir is,” she says.
When I asked her what her five beauty ‘essentials’ were she named things like Vitamin C, plant content for fibre and antioxidants, Lauric acid, remembering to ‘breathe’ (really breathe) and taking time for gratitude and kindness, as well as trying to omit - as much as possible - refined sugar from your diet. All of these are delved into much further in the book, and this weekend I’ll find out even more at her Beautiful You Weekend, held in the fabulous ballroom high above the iconic David Jones department store in Sydney. Can’t wait!
But for now I heartily recommend that you pick up a copy of Beauty From the Inside Out, “so it can remind you of what your heart already knows”.

Love it: Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends Patchouli & Fresh Rose collection

Since they first opened their doors in New York all those years ago, legendary beauty brand Kiehl’s have been synonymous with beautiful fragrances - as well as some of the finest fragrance-free products on the market. This is in celebration of the former however, in particular the latest addition to the Aromatic Blends line of fragrances and skincare products that was launched last year.
The line draws on the brand’s apothecary heritage, commitment to natural ingredients and sustainable sourcing methods, and this year sees the arrival of the beautiful Patchouli & Fresh Rose. The new fragrance has been designed to “take patrons on a wonderful journey to the Brazilian forest as well as the grassy fields of Southern France, capturing the vibrant, woody scent of Patchouli and the fresh, petal-like aroma of Rose Centifolia respectively,” and it smells pretty damn good to me.
The lineup also includes a body cleanser and body lotion for those that love to layer, with the cleanser formulated without sulfate-based surfactants and instead applying a synergistic blend of very mild surfactants to protect the skin’s natural moisture balance. The Patchouli & Fresh Rose Body Lotion (pictured) has been developed using botanical oils, butters and glycerin to ensure skin is deeply nourished, and although I haven’t tried it as yet I’m guessing it’s a winner. It has the same unique oil blend in there as my favourite Creme de Corps body lotion too, so hopefully will give the same heavenly result.
These new beauties hit the Kiehl’s counters on November 23, so get saving your pennies now.

Love it: beautiful new INIKA Mineral Bronzers

One of the things I loved most when I first had a play with natural makeup brand INIKA was the sheer strength of their pigmentation and longevity of their products on the skin - two rarities when it comes to a lot of makeup from the natural and organic field. It is no wonder that the brand has gone from strength to strength so quickly as there are a lot of other women out there searching for a mix of natural and high performance and INIKA really delivers.
The latest release of theirs that I have fallen in love with is their Mineral Bronzer, which aims to “deliver a stunning sun-kissed glow that looks and feels natural”. It is available in four shades to suit all skin tones - another rarity - and can contour cheek bones or add an instant golden tan if dusted lightly over the face and décolletage. Buff it in well with INIKA’s Vegan Kabuki Brush and build slowly to create your ideal golden glow.
The 100 per cent Certified Vegan and 100 per cent Certified Cruelty Free brush is made from sustainably sourced wood and synthetic hair, and has been specially formulated to work in synergy with INIKA minerals to deliver a totally seamless application. Good stuff!
Both are available now at selected pharmacies and health food stores nationwide. For more information or to find your nearest stockist visit www.inikacosmetics.co.nz

Giveaway: three beautiful COOLA suncare packs

This time last year I was lucky enough to be introduced to the COOLA range of suncare, and spent the rest of the summer recommending it to all and sundry!
A beautifully packaged collection of organic sun essentials produced out of Southern California, the COOLA range includes a plethora of yummy products that are high performance yet delicate and luxurious enough to compliment any skincare regimen - no matter how fussy, and even after cosmetic procedures – and are kind on the environment. It is produced in limited quantity batches in California (where the company is based), meaning that the range can be reformulated often, taking advantage of new developments in sun science and labelling regulations almost as they happen.
I especially love the fact that the COOLA range has three distinct organic sunscreen collections to choose from: Plant UV, Mineral, and Classic, each based on different active ingredients. The Classic Sunscreens use organic active ingredients (commonly referred to as “chemicals”), while the Mineral Sunscreens use mineral (“physical”) active ingredients like Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide to scatter and reflect UVA/UVB rays. The mineral sunscreens are effective right after application, making them perfect for the whole family. The Plant UV collection protects the skin with naturally protective plant cells that contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. All are blended into luxurious, moisturising bases which make up about 90 per cent of the product, and 70 per cent of this includes certified organic ingredients.
One of my favourites on holiday was the SPORT SPF 35 Piña Colada Sunscreen Spray, which offers Broad Spectrum SPF 35 protection along with the ability to nourish, repair and hydrate skin with 97 per cent certified organic ingredients. These include Aloe, Cucumber, Algae and Strawberry Extracts; and Red Raspberry Seed Oil, a natural sunscreen and anti-inflammatory rich in Omega-3 and 6.  Oh and it’s also available in a Citrus Mimosa scent if Piña Colada is not your bag!
Anyway, I was also lucky enough to be given three COOLA prize packs to give away, valued at $155. In each you’ll find COOLA Mineral Face SPF20 Rose Essence Tint, COOLA Sports Spray SPF30 Piña Colada and COOLA Classic Face SPF30 Cucumber - a great way to kick off the sunny months if ever there was one.
To enter email helene@mshelene.com with your name and physical address, and pop over to the COOLA Facebook page and hit a big LIKE!

Beauty news: Lara Stone is the new spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris

Lara Stone is hands down one of my favourite models, and what a coup it is for L’Oréal Paris to have snapped the Bardot-esque beauty as their newest spokesperson.
She has been hailed as one of the world’s greatest models right now due to her style and her sass, as well as her killer bod in the standardised environment of the catwalk. After a break to give birth to her first child she is most definitely back, and the edgy beauty is soon to be coming to a billboard near you in celebration of future L’Oréal product innovations in several categories, including make-up, hair care and skin.
“I am so flattered to join L’Oréal Paris,” she has said. “Getting the chance to say ‘you’re worth it’ to women around the world is a great honour. L’Oréal Paris is a brand that has always understood that beauty and personality go hand in hand. I totally identify myself to the Brand values considering my own history and career. Beauty is something you invent for yourself. It’s a powerful way of claiming who you really are,”
Congrats Lara, and most definitely congrats L’Oréal Paris!

Love it: the Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System

When the now-legendary Clarisonic first entered the beauty market the buzz was almost deafening - and despite a pretty big price tag units just flew out the door. It wasn’t available in New Zealand for quite a long time, and I tried one overseas but could never really justify the outlay - and consequently never bought one home.
If you’ve been hankering for a Clarisonic too but can’t justify the high price for it, then the arrival in New Zealand of the Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System is most excellent news - it’s the ideal way to see if brush cleansing system is right for your skin, at about a quarter (or less) of the price of a Clarisonic!
The Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System is Olay’s first-ever state-of-the-art electronic cleansing device, which cleanses four times better and helps your skin absorb over 25 per cent more anti-ageing ingredients.
Like the Clarisonic and many that followed it, it is designed to effectively loosen, lift and swirl dirt away to cleanse, exfoliate and reveal brighter smoother skin with each use. I love the fact that it has a micro-massaging action that removes even long-lasting, smudge-proof make up, yet is gentle enough to use every day – even when you have sensitive skin like mine.
It is great for getting into crevices (for want of a better word) like the contours around the nose and reportedly cleanses four times better than basic cleansing, resulting in better active anti-ageing ingredient penetration so you get that much more out of your nightly skincare regime.
I have found the Olay Advanced Cleansing System to be a lot gentler on my skin compared to the Clarisonic (especially the Pro version) and for daily cleansing it is an absolute treat.
If you’re looking for a cleansing device at a very wallet-friendly price then this is definitely for you, and I love the fact that it is so light and therefore very travel-friendly.
The Olay Regenerist Cleansing System is available now from leading pharmacies and supermarkets with an RRP of $34.49, and replacement brush heads are available at RRP $9.99 for a two-piece pack.

Beauty news: avocados proven to keep you strong, healthy - and trim

If you follow my Twitter profile, chances are that you know I’m bonkers for avocados. Years ago when there was a “shortage” in New Zealand I was travelling to Los Angeles and on arrival went straight to a market, bought three, made guacamole and scoffed the lot. True story.
I love what they do for the skin and general overall health, and just found out that another benefit of the little treats has been unearthed in a recent study. Apparently, as well as being bloody delicious (see pic above) and one of the most nutritionally complete foods in the world, new international research published in the Nutrition Journal shows that people who regularly eat them weigh 3.4 kilograms less on average and have waistlines around four centimetres smaller, than those who don’t.
Avocado consumers also have significantly lower BMIs than non-consumers; significantly higher intakes of important nutrients (such as fibre, vitamin E, magnesium, potassium and vitamin K), plus more good fats and a lower intake of added sugars.
The findings of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in the United States, published in the Nutrition Journal, proved that eating avocado every day boosted people’s HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels and resulted in a 50 per cent less chance of metabolic syndrome (a group of risk factors that occur together and increase the risk for coronary artery disease, stroke, and type-2 diabetes).
Convinced yet? My favourites clearly are a ‘perfect’ food, and my adding one a day to my diet is most definitely a move in the right direction when it comes to my health.
Love you even more avocados!

Why you need: Blackmores new stress-repelling/handling supplements

My day today was most definitely bought to you by the phrase “god give me strength”, and incorporated a range of stressful situations and interactions that had me ready to tear my hair out - if I wasn’t still sporting a killer blow wave. Seriously.
Thankfully, recent research has shown that you don’t have to change your life to reduce stress, what you do need to do is change how you respond to it. By putting some key elements in place it won’t have as much impact on your overall health and nervous system.
A supplement I should have been taking in the lead up to today is Blackmores Executive B Stress Formula, which is packed with vitamins, minerals and herbs to support the nervous system in times of pressure and tension. The specially formulated combination of B vitamins, magnesium and oats works to support a healthy response to stress and help to reduce nervous tension, containing herbs that are known for their calming qualities.
Normal functioning of the adrenal glands and nervous system relies on B-group vitamins for the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Vitamin B5 is important to the body’s ability to cope with stress because it plays a central role in the functioning of the adrenal glands. Similarly, folic acid and vitamin B6 are involved in the manufacture and effective action of mood-supporting hormones such as serotonin.
Another Blackmores release specially developed for women is Women’s D-Stress, which combines essential nutrients with the herb withania to support energy production, adrenal function, and help to maintain a healthy nervous system. B-vitamins are in there combined with other nutrients that support adrenal gland and nervous system function, including vitamin C, zinc and magnesium. The B-group vitamins also participate in the metabolic processes by serving as co-enzymes in the conversion of carbohydrates, proteins and fats from the diet into energy.
A few other things to remember are:
• Enhance your sleep by going to bed earlier and reducing alcohol intake.
• Reduce stress by exercising at least three times a week.
• Defuse negative emotions - think irritability, impatience, insecurity - by breathing deeply.
• Adopt a reverse lens to upsetting situations; ‘What would the other person in this conflict say?’
• Respond to voice mails and e-mails at designated times during the day.
• Every night, identify the most important challenge for the next day. Then make it your first priority that day.
Blackmores Executive B Stress and Women’s D-Stress are in stores now - I know I’m going to start popping them, ASAP!

Love it: low alcohol Brancott Estate Flight Riesling

It’s almost summer, and for many of us that means more than a few social get togethers coming to the party as well as a shift to chilled white wines… well it does for me at any rate! We all know that party season means more calories consumed right at the time that the layers come off too, so it’s usually up to increased summer salad consumption to keep things in check.
However, I just tried a beautiful and fresh new drop that is lower in alcohol without being low on taste in the form of Brancott Estate Flight Riesling. Using the same natural winemaking techniques as Brancott Estate’s Flight Sauvignon Blanc and Flight Pinot Gris (which I seriously want to try) has yielded the new Riesling, which exhibits all of the flavour profiles and complexities expected from the varietal, but with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of just 9 per cent.
Of all grape varieties Riesling is reportedly one of the most suited to making a low alcohol style, reaching flavour ripeness at low sugar levels and still tasting absolutely delicious. This new release works well with Asian cuisine, including sweet and sour, spicy Thai chicken and pork, or sushi and sashimi, as well as - reportedly - guacamole, one of my summer faves. Hurrah to that!
The Brancott Estate Flight trio of wines are available right now from leading liquor retailers, RRP $26.99. Try one… try them all!

Love: Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick and Precision Glide Lip Liner

It’s not often that I fall in love with a new lip collection quite literally overnight, but in the case of Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick I most certainly did!
The shades have been specially curated by Elizabeth Arden’s Global Makeup Artist, Rebecca Restrepo, and nods to both classic and trend driven hues are well covered. They feel like heaven on the lips as well, being ultra-conditioning and hydrating as well as silky smooth to apply. They claim to have colour payoff that lasts for 12 hours without feathering or fading, and although I didn’t wear them for that long I can definitely see that as a possibility. Arden’s own Volulip technology helps seal in moisture to give lips a fuller appearance, and keeps things well hydrated while it’s at it. There are an amazing 40 shades available and the colours also come in three finishes: cream, shimmer, and pearl.
To complement the new shades, Arden has also released Beautiful Color Precision Glide Lip Liners (pictured), which are a joy to apply and last and last. They are made up of specially treated pigments that create a flexible film for a creamy feel, and the unique waterproof, non-drying formula is infused with ingredients that make lips feel moisturised and conditioned. They are also blissfully extra sharpener-free, with an automatic component with an ergonomic grip that helps users trace lips with accuracy.  At the other end is flexible lip paddle that is great for evenly blending colour onto lips, and the matte feel is just perfect for adding your favourite lip colour on top of. The highly pigmented liners are available in 12 shades ranging from nudes and subtle pinks to warm browns and vivid berries.
Last but not least, these beauties hit the stores next week!

I try: a MorrocanTan at Rubywaxx Grey Lynn

When three of the upstairs treatment rooms at my gym, re:ab on Selbourne turned a hot pink shade it could only mean one thing - the arrival of the legendary Rubywaxx.
The sparkling new spot is one of three locations for Auckland beauty legend Ruby Francis, who first established her award-winning business way back in 1997. When she began working out of her first premises in Newton she was a sole operator, and the first therapist in the city to offer the now so-popular-its-almost standard Brazilian wax. The latter is still their most asked for treatment, and Ruby and her team are such masters of it that it comes with what she calls their “world famous fifteen-minute guarantee”. Let’s face it: if you’re going to go through that sort of pain once a month then you want it to be over as quickly as possible, and they promise that same adherence to time every repeat visit… or it’s free!
As well as waxing the salon offers time-efficient and highly effective anti-ageing treatments that actually work, including facials using the high performance Aspect skincare range from Australia that Ruby tells me are “mostly peels, although we can do the fluffy stuff if people really want it. Primarily we prefer to do really results-driven facials though, and our clients seem to appreciate that as well.” They even do more invasive anti-ageing procedures like injectables, Microhydrabrasion, skin needling with a Dermaroller and dermal fillers for those that want that really bit extra. At the more ‘feelgood’ end of the spectrum they do masterful manicures and pedicures using CND’s Vinylux product range, as well as spray tans using MoroccanTan, an Australian formula infused with argan oil and enhanced bronzers that leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished after each application.
I popped in to try a MoroccanTan a couple of weeks ago before a weekend of invites that necessitated a series of frocks and have to say I was seriously impressed. The application was smooth and totally even in the expert hands of therapist Britney, and the resulting colour was warm and natural without a hint of the ‘fake’ about it. It also faded well with care and the telltale ‘faux glow’ smell was barely noticeable, which is a major plus in my book.
With the warmer weather on its way I definitely recommend that you check it out - you can find out how by clicking here.

Love it: Pureology’s Fresh Approach collection

A couple of weeks ago I spent an hour at Newmarket’s Dry & Tea - like I need any excuse! - snacking on small-but-perfectly-formed nibbles and experiencing a blow wave and style using Pureology’s newest collection.
Called a totally ‘fresh approach’ to cleansing colour-treated hair, the all new Fresh Approach range is Pureology’s first dry cleansing collection for - yep, you guessed it - coloured hair. Pureology are a brand that was created around the need for a kinder approach to coloured hair, and they never cease to amaze me with their innovations and beautiful new products. They also have one of the strongest sustainable business models that I have ever seen, so it’s no surprise that the emphasis for the new range is saving water, as well as time and your colour!
I have fallen in love with Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo, which is for all hair types and gently refreshes hair from root to end, providing a satin smooth finish and oil control throughout. I love the fact that it is low mattifying in particular - my darker locks can easily be dulled by the average dry shampoo formula but this keeps the shine without fail.
The other new release is the Fresh Approach Dry Conditioner, which is for dry, undisciplined hair as it restores softness and shine while managing frizz and static through the lengths in between washes. Dry conditioner is ideal for dried-out strands that are over-processed or over-styled, and this baby also adds shine and leaves hair soft to the touch.
Every time colour-treated hair comes in contact with water, colour-stripping “water abrasion” occurs. The 100 per cent vegan formulas in the Fresh Approach prods help reduce exposure to water abrasion – the number one cause of hair colour fade -  by 40 per cent when used twice a week in place of water cleansing. This extends the life of your hair colour by up to four weeks, so essnetially you’re saving water, time, your colour AND money! Love that…

How to: Lanvin SS14, hair by Guido for Redken

Lavishly wrapped in high shine satins and silks that ranged from silver and pewter to gold, the Lanvin woman walked the recent Paris Fashion Week catwalk like a metallic missile, fierce, sexy and ready to fire.
To complement rather than match this opulent feel, Redken Creative Consultant Guido opted to create an easy, carefree look for Lanvin by exposing the models' natural textures and cuts on the runway. Instead of adding hair extensions, which tends to standardise the style, Guido kept it real and styled the models' hair according to their own cut and texture. Regardless of the variation of hairstyles on the runway, all the models perfectly captured the intended ease of the style.
"I created a very simple look again,” he said after the show, “I say again, because simplistic hair seems to be a recurring style this season. I wanted the hair to be natural and somewhat bedhead like in appearance for Lanvin. The look is meant to seem like you haven't tried at all."
To get the look:
1. Apply Redken guts 10 root targeted volume spray foam to damp hair and allow to dry naturally
2. Create a deep side part and sweep hair over to one side
3. Apply Redken quick tease 15 backcombing finishing spray at the root to achieve some volume
4. Spray Redken wax blast 10 high impact finishing spray-wax on lengths for more texture
5. Pull hair into low ponytail and secure with a hair tie
Easy - and totally you.
