Beauty news: D&M Hair design to Cut for a Cure this coming Monday

On Monday 4 November, Ponsonby salon D&M is going to Cut for a Cure - hardworking New Zealand charity Cure Kids, that is.
They will be open from 11:00am to 5:00pm, taking bookings for cuts, colours and blow waves, with an amazing 100 per cent of the income from the day going directly to Cure Kids. The D&M team have said that they would love old and new clients to book in and take part in this special day, which would usually be one of the salon’s days off.
The move was prompted by a call to action by industry supplier Boutique Brands, which has made worthy New Zealand charity Cure Kids its philanthropic partner. Salons throughout the country are getting involved with Cut for a Cure to see who can raise the biggest donation for the Cure Kids, an organisation which is working every single day to find cures for the life-threatening illnesses that affect Kiwi kids. Their focus is on raising funds “so that vital medical research can continue till our researchers find the cures our kids need. Put simply: we fund the cures, they find the cures,” a mission statement that we all can understand.
“We could have taken the option of having a donation box on our reception desk,” salon co-owner Danny Pato said, “but we decided to go that little bit further when we looked into what an amazing difference the Cure Kids charity makes to the lives of all those who come into contact with it.”
To book in for a cut, colour or blow wave on Monday, November 4 call D&M on (09) 376 3666 or go to www.dandm.co.nz to book online. Go on, you know you want to!
