I try: iS Clinical’s newest professional treatment (and more!)

I’m always up for a facial – be it high touch, high performance, deeply soothing or otherwise – so when I was invited by iS Clinical to try their newest in-salon treatment I immediately jumped on board. The fact that it would be performed by Bhavna Maharaj, the award-winning, results driven brand’s New Zealand Aesthetics Trainer was the icing on the cake – we have known each other for a few years and she’s a fountain of knowledge when it comes to all things skin.
I first tried the brand after being introduced to it by a makeup artist friend in Los Angeles years ago, but for those that might not have heard of it, iS Clinical by Innovative Skincare uses a fusion of traditional and western medicine to deliver seriously great results in terms of skin health and transformation. Their pharmaceutical-grade ingredients are 95-98 percent botanically derived and bio-identical, ensuring the highest quality, purity, and potency to ensure they deliver real results – every time. Their products are no-nonsense but so luxe to use, and it’s so exciting that they are now available in New Zealand. It’s doubly exciting when you add the fact that their indulgent facials are also available to be booked at premium locations like Saint Beauty, where the Fire & Ice Facial is one of my all-time favourite beauty treats.

But now, the newness
iS Clinical’s newest professional treatment is the Flash Brightening Peel, an advanced peel facial that instantly transforms skin with no downtime. Designed to address signs of premature skin ageing like lines and wrinkles, blemishes, congested pores, uneven skin tone, texture and pigmentation, it aims to deliver visible results for a radiant, smooth glass-skin glow – and spoiler alert: it does all that, and more.
The high-performance treatment combines powerful exfoliation with intense hydration, meaning immediate resurfacing and brightening benefits for a glow that just won’t quit. I particularly love iS Clinical’s wardrobe of cleansers on offer, so to see them put to good use in the hands of Bhavna before my peel bought this skincare nerd much joy! Often after a decent peel my skin is a little reactive, but I left with it feeling calm, happy and freshly polished – you can’t argue with that end result.
Featuring a 30-minute or 60-minute protocol, Flash Brightening Peel can be incorporated into bespoke in-office treatments or as a stand-alone “lunchtime” peel that produces rapid results, and I can’t recommend it enough!

And, more newness
Alongside my facial, Bhavna also introduced me to iS Clinical’s newly launched Extra Strength Active Peel Brightening System (above), a two-step exfoliating treatment designed to address signs of ageing including lines and wrinkles, blemishes and pigmentation, that delivers professional-grade results.
The powerful, fast-acting peel visibly resurfaces and brightens the skin’s appearance while providing advanced hydration, and I love that both steps come in small sachets that are perfect for travel. Step one is an advanced exfoliating formula that produces a cool tingling sensation upon application for at-home peel results, while step two drenches the skin in hydration as it neutralises step one providing antioxidant and soothing benefits. Featuring iS Clinical’s proprietary botanical Extremozyme® Technology and Tripeptide-1 (Copper Tripeptide-1) combined with calming botanicals, it further boosts rejuvenation which I am definitely here for!
Over time, the peel system works hard behind the scenes addressing overall skin brightness and helping improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture, with luminosity and a more refined, even-looking complexion the goal. It also helps manage blemish-prone skin by reducing surface oil and impurities, making it a great addition to so many skincare regimes.
For optimal results, use the system every 3-4 days, preferably in the evening, and as always, apply an SPF of 30 or higher in the morning.
