Summer hair treat: test-driving Sebastian’s Texture Tandem treatment

In the lead up to Christmas I was lucky enough to be the first person in the country to try Sebastian’s latest treatment, known as Texture Tandem. A revolutionary texturising treatment that let’s you pick exactly how you want your hair to feel, it enables you to totally re-design the structure of your hair, giving you a smooth and soft result whilst turning up the volume on fullness. It uses a heat activated formula that is painted on your hair almost like a colour, and which combines a silkener and a thickener – all personally remixed by your stylist to produce maximum results according to your hair type. The Silkener acts to compact the hair cuticle to ensure it is at its shiny best, and its effects last for up to three days after a blow wave. The Thickener works hard on fine hair to puff out the cuticle, giving the appearance of much thicker hair that again, lasts several days. I had a mix of 3/1 applied to my hair by Senior Stylist Kate Murphy at Ponsonby salon Stephen Marr and came away with a silken bounce to my colour-frazzled, sunburnt locks that hadn’t been there for a long while, and was still there a few parties down the track. A true “service” for you hair that lasts a lot longer than your standard blow wave, this is the perfect choice for ladies who like to turn on the heat several nights in a row*, and never lose their style.
*A bit like Sebastian's latest style visionary and musician Micky Green, seen above!
