LFW How to: Christopher Kane F/W 13 by Guido

Redken Global Styling Director Guido made a stop in London on his way to Milan – as you do! - to style over 50 models for the Fall 2013 Christopher Kane show that happened yesterday. Refreshingly low key and just plain beautiful, the hair was essentially each model's own personal style and as natural as possible; nothing that felt forced so that the beauty of the clothes and the space were the focus. This is the look that most women I know want to achieve on a daily basis for sure – just like you, but better!
After having seen the complete look once paired with the bold colours and myriad of materials used in the highly designed collection, it became clear that Guido's modern vision of individuality for the hair was perfectly on point. Since chopping off my hair I constantly get people saying how good it looks, despite the lack of time I’m spending on it – the sign of a good cut for sure, but also one that clearly “works” for me as these girls’ hair worked perfectly for them.

Guido’s guide to get the look at home:
* Cleanse the hair with new Redken Diamond Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.
"I wanted to see what each girls' hair was like in its natural state, and I wanted the hair clean and soft to the touch," Guido said.
* Allow hair to air-dry and then create a natural, messy centre part with fingers, allowing hair to fall naturally from there and being sure not to force the part.
* Smooth out the crown with fingers, and for girls with very naturally straight hair, Guido touched through the ends with a curling iron to add a hint of movement, brushing through with fingers to loosen to ensure there was no set curl shape.
