In love with: when OPI meets the New York City Ballet

After a summer spent sporting all manner or brights and neons, over the past few weeks I’ve been going for a softer nail shade as the temperature drops.
Lucky for me then that those clever, super duper creative types at OPI have paired up with the New York City Ballet to unleash upon the world six new additions to the SoftShades collection, which was inspired by the company’s costumes and choreography, as well as the dancers themselves.
New York City Ballet by OPI features five sheer shades lightly tinged with beige, pink, white, lilac and grey, as well as a silver-y, sparkly number that can be worn alone or layered over the top of your pick of the others for added shine and dimension.
As a former dancer myself, the beige, pink, and white lacquers bring to mind classic ballet slippers, soft tutus and leotards, whilst the lilac and grey are just plain pretty.
The full line up includes:
Barre My Soul – a sheer, almost naked beige
You Callin' Me a Lyre? – a soft shell pink
Don’t Touch My Tutu! – a wispy, dreamy white
Care To Danse? – an on trend lilac
My Pointe Exactly – a sheer grey
Pirouette My Whistle – a silvery sparkle
All of the new collection will be available in May, so start keeping an eye on your nearest OPI counter now.
