New & Noted: five new beauty releases to have on your radar right now

New season, new beauty! Okay, it still feels distinctly like winter outside my window in Tāmaki Makaurau today, but I’m getting all excited for incoming summer beauty drops and general newness to add to cart. With all of that in mind, here’s some of my top picks to explore from the worlds of skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance…

Maison Margiela REPLICA Celestial Whispers Eau de Parfum

Inviting you to “veil yourself in an aura of celestial protection”, this new creation from one of my favourite scent houses cloaks you in an aura of fragrant protection. An ethereal Eau de Parfum, this contemplative scent surrounds you with a surreal Celestial Smoke Accord - a delicate swirl of smoky, spicy, and fresh notes - and is designed to offer a protective pause from the world, conjuring the sensation of floating through still air, suspended in quiet. I am a huge fan of the scent of incense, and here it intertwines with the metallic coolness of aldehydes and base notes of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Infusion, musk and cedarwood in a gloriously heady mix.
