All about: Katherine Daniels Essential Miracle Cleansing Jelly

Although mostly known for its cool girl make up names, the UK beauty industry has also given us some great skincare, hair and bodycare brands that are delightfully no nonsense - and work. One that hit New Zealand recently is the Katherine Daniels Cosmetics range, which comes with the tagline: “beautifully British concepts”.
Developed by sisters Kirsti Shuba and Donna Tait, the Katherine Daniels range encompasses what they call “the best of British skincare”, and can be found in salons throughout the UK and now, also in New Zealand. Having over 60 years of beauty therapy experience between them, the sisters were inspired to create a range of products that could proudly be stocked in leading salons and that work for the most common skin types and conditions. The sisters wanted to de-mystify the skin, so when they created the Katherine Daniels range they ensured that the results would be outstanding without complicated products, too many serums for this and that and generally confusing, off-putting regimes. All of the products in their collection are results-driven, and they use active ingredients extracted from plant, marine, collagen and biotechnology sources to achieve them.
After going to a beautiful ‘official’ launch of the brand into New Zealand at The Northern Club a few weeks ago – complete with an appearance by the sisters – I have been playing with some stellar products from the range, including the brand new Katherine Daniels Essential Miracle Cleansing Jelly (RRP$45.00). A concentrated, 2-in-1 make-up remover and face cleanser, it takes the Korean love of jelly-like cleansers and gives it a very British spin, with a luxurious feel and amazing performance from the moment you pop the tube. The jelly-like formula transforms into a delicate oil after being lightly warmed between the hands and applied to the face, lifting impurities and make-up - including waterproof eye make-up – with minimal agitation to the skin. It then miraculously changes into a gentle milk when mixed with water to aid removal, leaving the skin perfectly cleansed and feeling still-supple and never tight. I love it.
I’ve been using it both with a muslin cloth and the Katherine Daniels Essential Deep Cleansing & Skin Rejuvenating System (right, RRP$129.00), a cleverly little tool that I have been adding to my regime a couple of times a week. Combining ultra-high frequency vibrations with 1500 soft silicone massage points, it cleanses deeply but super gently, and the creators say that with daily use, skin congestion and superficial imperfections can be greatly reduced. I’ve been going easy with it due to my sensitivity and rosacea, but once that clears (crossing all fingers and toes!) I will most definitely be putting that claim to the test.
Katherine Daniels products are available in New Zealand at selected professional beauty therapists nationwide, and I highly recommend you give them a whirl for both their simplicity, and their efficacy… it doesn’t get much better than that.
