Daily delight: discover Elemental Herbology

Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I can’t walk by a Mecca Cosmetica store without going in for a quick squueze and a sniff of all the goodies on offer, and I’m quite excited about one of their newest acquisitions, Elemental Herbology. Combining over one-hundred plant, mineral and marine actives with pure flower oils, Elemental Herbology is a naturally active, results driven skincare and spa range that is really bloody yummy. Designed to cool, clear and calm in the summer, repair, infuse and hydrate in the winter, and boost and nurture over-exposed skin all year round, the main aim of the brand is to help restore equilibrium when environmental, lifestyle and hormonal fluctuations dramatically alter your skin. All products are free of mineral oils, synthetic fragrance and colours, sulphates, PABA sun screens and paraben preservatives too, endearing me even more to the brand.

The founder, Kristy Goodger, is a spa consultant with over ten years of practical, ‘hands-on’ experience in treating clients, developing spa treatments and operating and designing spas, including the incredible Space NK spas in Britain. Combining her incredible knowledge of herbal medicine with Oriental physiology and pathology, she worked long and hard with a leading cosmetic laboratory to develop the range. I’ve started my foray into the brand with Sun Kiss Body hydrator with self-tan, which has watermelon seed oil, aloe and pomegranate as its key ingredients. It contains subtle levels of an eco-certified botanical self-tanning agent with ultra-nourishing oils to create a beautifully hydrated, natural and healthy glow whilst also helping to prolong the life of your tan. It’s also super light in texture so is great for humid days, and is deliciously cool and calming for over-exposed skin. I’m off away for a few days this Thursday, and you can guarantee that this will be top of my list of things to take.
