Backstage beauty: TOM FORD DÉFILÉ SPRING | SUMMER 2027
Under the eye of the inimitable Haider Ackermann, that sensuality continues to guide and define the house, like it did at the house’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris.
The collection was shown in a dimly lit space with models sauntering around walls of mirrors, with both their reflections and those of the entire cast surrounding them. Ackermann said he had the models walk in multiples to evoke “the feeling that something has happened, or is about to happen,” as he put it in his show notes, and I couldn't get enough.
The collection inspired TOM FORD Global Makeup Artist Lucy Bridge to create runway looks that reflect a sexy strength and pure elegance, with the femme fatale forever the epitome of TOM FORD’s approach to modern seduction.

RED GLASS LIPS
Kissable lips coated in red serve as the centerpiece of this look. Runway Lip Pencil in 105 Private Client was used to create bold, dimensional definition for a fuller-looking pout, before Runway Liquid Lip Color Matte in 16 Scarlet Rouge — TOM FORD’s most iconic red — was layered beneath Gloss Luxe in 01 Disclosure.
The new Runway Eye Color Quad Poudre in 28 Burnished Haze dressed the eyes in a delicate, barely-there smoky shimmer, the new Runway Gel Eyeliner in 08 Bronze delicately tracing the waterline for added gilt.
DARK RED GLASS LIPS
Lucy Bridge’s custom red lip blend provides a perfect base for Gloss Luxe in 01 Disclosure, which seals the lips in sumptuous, gleaming perfection. Eyes were lined in Runway Gel Eyeliner in 02 Cocoa and 03 Black for a straightforward approach to a gaze that is as graphic as it is timeless.
Runway Gel Eyeliner — in the same shades as the eye — was utilised to shape and sculpt lips’ definition, and brows filled in with Architecture Brow Pencil in 05 Granite and set with Eyebrow Laminator.
PURE AND NATURAL
It was all about perfecting, sculpting and enhancing with the new Architecture Multi-Use Foundation Stick — a versatile skin perfector available in 25 flexible shades — to create a flawless base. The Architecture Contour Duo softly sculpted features for an enhanced contour and highlight, while the Shade and Illuminate Concealer effortlessly blurred imperfections and Architecture Soft Matte Blurring Powder used fine microsphere technology to cast a light-as-air, soft-focus veil over the complexion.
The new Runway Eye Stylo Shimmer in shades 101 Honey Veil and 108 Burnt Copper imparted a subtle, multi-dimensional sparkle to lids, the creamy pencil-stylo delivering artistry-level results whether its creating a single defining line of beauty or an all-over look of smoked-out shimmer.
Lastly, Soleil Lip Balm in 01 Rendezvous glazed lips for 24 hours of dewy hydration.
