Current obsession: the newest Deadly Ponies collection, Shredder
In store now and immediately covetable, Deadly Ponies’ Fall '25 collection, Shredder is getting fans of the brand – like me! - all excited about an upcoming change of season.
Accompanied by the tagline ‘Reimagining Office Essentials as Art’, it pays homage to the everyday office space reimagined through the playful and iconic lens of Pop Art. It’s a collection where seemingly innocuous, everyday office essentials become art: think glossy plastic pens, coiling metal binders, and even the paper shredder itself!
Drawing inspiration from the Pop Art movement’s celebration of mass culture, the collection pays tribute to Claes Oldenburg, the Swedish-American artist famed for his grand public installations of familiar items.
It has been said that Oldenburg’s audacious, witty, and profound depictions of everyday objects changed the way we understand and see art in the world, and I most definitely see art in the subtle way that Deadly Ponies’ Liam Bowden has taken the likes of the paper clip and passed it through an accessory designer’s lense.

My picks of the bunch include the sublime Mr. Siamese Eraser Shred, which whimsically re-interprets the office shredder, and the silver-framed Mr. Minimese which brings a sculptural nod to the humble paperclip. Designed to brighten as the days grower longer, Deadly Ponies’ iconic Calf Nappa also appears in striking new hues: off-white Eraser and classic blue Ballpoint. Grounding hues of Gingerbread and Vine bring the autumnal/fall vibe to the fore, with the Mr Bandit Tote Maxi - Gingerbread Suede going straight to the top of my new season wish list.

I also can’t talk about Deadly Ponies without referencing their continual mission to be more circular and achieve a zero-waste goal, which has led to their Recycle Programme initiative aiming to take total ownership of products for their entire lifecycle. The label’s ethically sourced, high-quality leathers are tanned without harmful chemicals, and all hardware is 100% recyclable brass, meaning that the leather can be refurbished, and the brass melted down to form new products.
As part of the Deadly Ponies Recycle Programme, the brand uses its factories' leather offcuts to close the loop on any excess waste in the production process, and as a reward for being part of this journey and recycling a Deadly Ponies piece, customers receive a $50 voucher to use towards their next purchase. Deadly Ponies accepts an amnesty on all preloved Deadly Ponies products; however, they must be in a usable condition, and only bags qualify for a gift voucher.
Available to explore, covet and buy now, Deadly Ponies’ Fall '25 collection, Shredder is available now.
