Beauty news: DECIEM re-commits to its iconic - and inspired - SLOWVEMBER pledge

Instead - for the fifth consecutive year - the beauty innovator has proudly launched its November as Slowvember campaign, a month-long discount that encourages its audience to slowly and intentionally purchase throughout the discount frenzy known as Black Friday.
Sales and discounts associated with Black Friday have often been questioned for their integrity. On a day that promises to offer the best savings of the year, consumers are often left wondering whether they’re being offered a bargain, or being led astray by complicated price amendments. As a true stance against Black Friday, DECIEM even closes all shops on the most capitalistic day of the year, which is huge – and celebrated by those of us that find the rampant consumerism and pressure to spend on that day leaves more than a little unpleasantness on the palate.
It's also true that when it comes to Black Friday, pricing is not always what it seems. A study has found 98% of Black Friday ‘deals’ aren’t the cheapest price of the year, and are commonly illusions, concluding that only 2% of products offered in the 2022 Black Friday sales were cheaper than at other times of the year.
