All about: Dermalogica’s new Oil to Foam Total Cleanser

The Dermalogica brand has long had the goal of creating serious skincare with no mucking around involved as its core focus, and the popularity of their products speaks for itself. The brand is also famous for its extensive ‘wardrobe’ of cleansers, which is something I believe we all need. Just as we swap out moisturisers or serums when the temperature changes or our skin starts having issues, so too should we switch up our cleansing game on a regular basis.
As pioneers of the now ubiquitous Double Cleanse, the experts at Dermalogica believe the secret to ultra-clean, healthy- looking skin is cleansing twice: first with an oil-based cleanser, then with a traditional cleanser. And I love that – it’s a game changer that I recommend to everyone I know. But sometimes, we just don’t have the time (nor the inclination) to Double Cleanse, and the key is tracking down high performance, multifunctional products that work twice as hard, twice as fast.
Cue the arrival of the brand’s new Oil to Foam Total Cleanser, which is an all-in-one make-up remover and cleanser that removes makeup, sunscreen, debris, excess sebum, and pollutants, with just a single wash. It’s also super lush to use, starting as a golden-hued gel-oil formula with Sea Buckthorn Oil that melts away layers of make-up, sunscreen, debris, and excess sebum, it transforms after a splash of water into a rich, cloud-like foam to wash away any remaining impurities. And it leaves skin feeling nourished and never stripped, thanks to a plant-derived prebiotic that acts as a moisture magnet, supporting long-lasting hydration.

As a loyal double cleansing fanatic I have used this both with a pre-cleanse oil and alone, and have seriously been impressed on both counts. As aforementioned, it’s a sensorial wonder too, which makes adding it to your routine that much easier.
To use, start by slightly dampening your face, then massage a few pumps over face and eyes to dissolve surface oil and dirt. Wet hands and continue massaging to create a foam to wash away make-up, sebum, and sunscreen. Rinse with warm water. Too easy.
Oil to Foam Total Cleanser comes in a 250 mL bottle for $115, and arrives ar authorised Dermalogica stockists and online at Dermalogica.co.nz from 2nd June 2023.
