Beauty news: RAAIE Introduces Volcanic-Powered Hydration (and it’s beautiful)

While a lot of the action took place on the runway, debuting backstage at Juliette Hogan’s NZ Fashion Week show last month was a very exciting new addition to the lineup of one of my favourite Aotearoa-born beauty brands. Called Tranquillity Water Activating Mist and the work of the always impressive and infinitely considered RAAIE, it’s a volcanic-powered hydration spray that quickly went to work ensuring models stepped out with only the most luminous, most hydrated skin.

MUA Josie Wignall lead the team of artists backstage, who created a final look centred on “Radiance Refined” — think dewy skin, soft tones and subtle light play for a fresh-faced runway statement. Models were prepped with volcanic-powered hydration courtesy of the hero mist, which was followed by two beloved RAAIE essentials: the Morning Dew Vitamin C Serum (my personal favourite Vitamin C formula) to ramp up the glow factor and lush Cocoon Ceramide Cream to lock in nourishment.
Content creators were gifted carry cute bags to amplify the buzz, and while one insisted to me that the newest from RAAIE was a body spray-style fragrance (!!!), my initial guess proved to be correct – Tranquillity Water Activating Mist is a toner-essence-mist hybrid of sorts, and a beautiful one at that.

So what exactly is a mist, and what do they do?
